“Mothman” Crop Circle
From last year, but an interesting find. . .
Blog look
I liked the previous template better as to colors, but the layout drove me crazy. I’m not savvy enough to play around with it and get it to look the way I want, so I had to use their pre-fab choices. I like this one okay; much neater, but it’s on the stuffy side a bit. Oh well. As readers of this blog may have realized by now, the look might change, it might not!
Update on Mechanical Voices from Damn Data
Emperor at Damn Data (excellent writing) has posted about Dennis Whitley’s mechanical bird voice piece on his blog Strange Planet; and I had commented on it here a few days ago. (Mechanical Voices, Aliens and Mothman: Shared Source? ) Cold mechanical voices: The next big thing in Ufology or a can of old worms? offers comments and also added insights.
Latest From Andy Colvin: Interviews, and more
Latest news from what Andy Colvin is up to, including podcasts with Vyz — always great listening!
Due to some skillful prodding by Vyz, I have done three new interviews on Think or Be Eaten, which delve into my October return trip to the Indian mounds of Ohio. These are some of the more wide-ranging of the shows we have done. The first show (#47) looks at, among other things, my own family history and how it seems to tie directly into the Egyptians via the Pharaoic Montauk “Indians” on Long Island (whom the Colvins married into in the 1700s). In the second hour, we go into Masonic symbolisms – how they evolved from the Moors/Egyptians, and how they undergird the history of America and Europe (apparently 30 of our presidents were related to the Montauks). Go here and scroll down:

In the third show (#48), which turns out to be Vyz’s all-time longest interview, we go further into the evolving 11:11 mystery which, in addition to tying into key symbolisms of ancient Egypt, now includes that synchronistic Mothman sighting in early October, only a week before I left for Ohio. Again, this sighting was only a mile or two away from the 1111 Independence Ave. address I was visiting.
If you don’t have time to listen to the entire two-hour show, make sure you skip to the end so you can hear our new song, “Flying High With the Mothman.” The song, which is somewhat tongue-in-cheek, tells the story of Indrid Cold and Apol, the famous MIBs of the Mothman story. Special thanks to guitarist Neal Mindrum for his help on this song, which was recorded in one take into a laptop – during a freezing wind – at the largest Indian mound in Ohio (at Miamisburg).
I’ve also got a recent blog on the subject, although it isn’t nearly as detailed as the interviews:

Darklore Volume II

I’m shamelessly promoting Darklore Volume II, seeing as how I’m in it. If you’re not familar with Darklore, it’s a journal of collected articles on the paranormal and esoteric, published and edited by Greg Taylor, who runs the excellent The Daily Grail site. Taylor is also a contributor.
The first volume was fantastic, the second promises to be as well. I just got mine today, and am devouring it; articles by Nick Redfern, Paul Devereux, Mac Tonnies, Jon Downes, Theo Paijmansm Michael Prescott, The Emperor, Philip Coppens, Blair MacKenzie Blake, Michael E. Tymn, Stephen E. Braude Ph.D — I’m very happy, but astounded, I’m in such fantastic company!
It’s a great issue, and no, I’m not just saying that. You can order Darklore Volume II via amazon.com, or the order page at The Daily Grail site.
Mothman news clippings
I found a webpage full of newspaper articles from the ’60s of Mothman sighitngs and witnesses. Good info, but it’s not the scanned newspaper articles, which would have been aestheitically pleasing, still, a good resource.
